“You Better Werk! A Celebration of Stonewall & Community Action” is coming Saturday June 29th to bring the New Orleans community revelry and rebellion! Hosted at Cafe Istanbul it will be a night of revolutionary drag, live music, and some surprise performances, all in honor of the power of community action to create change in the world.

A fundraiser for New Orleans Pride Center, WHIV, and New Orleans Black Pride, this event will be directly supporting some of the organizations doing important community building in this critical moment. We are fighting back with LGBTQ+ creativity, comraderie, and JOY!

We’ve got some truly fierce and fabulous music and drag performances for you including Jasmine Davis, Rose Bush Blues, Ceci Nguyen, Eddie Lockwood, Rayshaugn, and Rescalla. It will be an evening of dancing and delights that will rouse your rabble and get you ready to go out into the world loud and proud!

It’s the 55th anniversary of the Stonewall Riot – let’s celebrate the community action that has lifted us up and dance towards a better tomorrow!
