We all deserve mental health care that doesn’t require us to hide who we are or code switch to be understood. The New Orleans Pride Counseling Center is a program that aims to provide access to sliding scale (no one turned away for lack of funds) counseling to members of our community who don’t have insurance or can’t afford it even with insurance.

Counselors who are part of this program are trained in identity affirming practices and required to follow a code of conduct designed by the New Orleans Pride Center’s team, ensuring you can get access to culturally competent care. We also ensure the counselors we work with are part of the communities they’re serving, so their own lived experience can better support your own.

Note: This program is designed for people without insurance or who cannot afford mental health care even with their insurance. At this time, our providers do not take any insurance.

This is a new program with limited capacity. There will likely be a waiting period before we can connect you with a counselor. Please sign up anyways so we can show our supporters that this program is needed!
