Position Summary

The New Orleans Pride Center is seeking an exceptional community member to become our first paid staff as our Programs & Administrative Manager. This position is for someone passionate about our local LGBTQ+ community and excited to help the Pride Center grow as an organization.

The New Orleans Pride Center Programs & Administrative Manager plays a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operations, programs, and communications of the New Orleans Pride Center. This position is ideal for someone who is highly organized, community-oriented, and passionate about supporting LGBTQ+ individuals and families. The Programs & Admin Manager serves as a welcoming presence in the Center, running weekly and monthly programs, coordinating the Center’s communications, and ensuring community members are connected to resources and support.

This role requires set hours on Tuesdays and Saturdays to align with program delivery and community access needs. Outside of existing programming commitments, there is significant flexibility with the schedule. This staff person will work on-site at the New Orleans Pride Center.

We want to acknowledge that we are an emergent nonprofit and are looking for somebody willing to work with us and our organization’s budget as we develop the organization. We hope to grow this position into a full-time role and hire additional staff over time, but we do not know how long it will take to make those additions. In the meantime, the person stepping into this role will have a lot of support from a dedicated (and talented) board of directors.
